This is just sad...

No books in a whole year??

Seriously people... "I just get sleepy when I read..." ?? What?? Dude, it would be better if you got sleepy while "enjoying your backyard pool."

Urgh.

Exactly!!! I think reading is a lost art. I love taking time to just curl up with a good book anywhere - even in my backyard. It's sad that reading has become so unimportant.

I think it's an elite group of people who can call themselves "readers".

The rest can just let their brains turn to mush.

Sigh. Is that what society has come to? I couldn't live without books. I've even come to a point where I don't need the 'net for a few days if I have books.

I couldn't go two days without reading something.

You can tell the guy was obviously your stereotypical jock in high school or something. Hey, I like swimming as much as the next person, but if I could laminate a book so I could read in the pool, that would really rock.

Maybe "the youth" need to listen to this song:

Bwa ha ha!

I can't stop reading.

I used to read in the shower when I was a little kid. (Sometimes I still do. Shhh!)

Oh, thank goodness for people who write - and read - the "elite" (thanks, Shannon) among the crowds of "youth" (thanks, Hannah) - and all you water-readers... my mother threw away countless books in my youth. Because I insisted reading in the water was fine and that books "dried off."
